The Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (F-ELECTICS) is a leading faculty in ITS which was established as a combination of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FTIK) and the Faculty of Electrical Technology (FTE) consisting of six departments that leading ten study programs for S1, more than 2500 students both at the S1, S2 level or S3. F-ELECTICS comes with a vision to become a referral faculty in education and research in electrical, electronics, and computing-related fields with an international reputation and contribution to humanity.

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has once again inaugurated its top academics, including five new professors from the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (F-ELECTICS). The inauguration ceremony took place in two open Senate sessions held on February 6 and 20, 2025, at the 11th-floor Auditorium of the Research Center, ITS Sukolilo Campus. The inauguration of these five new professors reaffirms F-ELECTICS's role in advancing science and technology across various strategic fields. With their expertise, it is hoped that innovations and solutions beneficial to society and industry will emerge, while also opening broader collaboration opportunities at the national and international levels.

Success Story of IoT Implementation: Salt and Drinking Water Production for Gili Genting Island

Gili Genting Island, Madura, is known for its high seawater salinity, ranking second in the world after the Dead Sea in Jordan. This poses a challenge for the local community, which needs clean drinking water while also utilizing salt for fishing activities. To address this need, an innovation team from the Electrical Engineering Department at ITS developed the Gili Genting Island’s Oxygen Conservation: IoT-Driven PV-RO for Salt and Drinkable Water Production project, funded by IEEE EPICS (Engineering Project in Community Service).

The Nogogeni team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation in energy-efficient vehicles. This year, the team achieved victory in two prestigious competitions: the PLN Innovation and Competition in Electricity (ICE) 2024 and the Energy-Efficient Car Contest (KMHE) 2024. This success was the result of the team’s hard work, strategic planning, and continuous innovation. Anung Bagus Prasetyo, a sixth-semester Electrical Engineering student, shared his journey of joining the Nogogeni ITS team. His interest in the automotive world, particularly in Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies, motivated him to join the team.
Information Systems Student from ELECTICS ITS Leads International-Standard UN Simulation

Daring to step out of his comfort zone and venture into a field rarely explored by engineering students, Aldius Rizky Asantrinova, an Information Systems student at ITS, has proven that the world of diplomacy can also be mastered by technology students. He successfully led an international United Nations (UN) simulation held in Surabaya, gaining invaluable experience in leadership and global negotiations. Aldius has participated twice in the Model United Nations (MUN), a simulation of UN sessions that hones diplomatic, negotiation, and leadership skills. In his first attempt, he received an Honorable Mention, a prestigious recognition in the international event.
