Opening Session of Webinar Series # 18 by the Dean of F-ELECTICS ITS, Dr. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T..

Surabaya, 18 December 2020

To introduce research in the field of cryptography and coding theory to lecturers in F-ELECTICS ITS, F-ELECTICS ITS  together with Nanyang Technological University held Webinar Series # 18 on Thursday (17/12) yesterday. The focus of this Webinar Series # 18 was Holographic Sensing on Images.

The Webinar Series # 18 event is a form of collaboration built between F-ELECTICS ITS and Nanyang Technological University which presented Prof. Martianus Frederic Ezerman as resource person. At the Opening Ceremony session, DR. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T. as Dean of F-ELECTICS explained the various achievements that have been made by F-ELECTICS in the fields of academics, accreditation, research, and publication. Even on the same occasion, DR. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T. also presented the international cooperation that has been built with many well-known universities in Asia and Europe. The forms of international cooperation that have been established are Double Degree (DD), Student Exchange (EX), Joint Supervision (JS), and Joint Publication (JP).

At the beginning of his presentation, Prof. Martinus Frederic Ezerman explained the main problem of research in the field of holographic sensing, namely how partial information can provide complete information about images. However, research on holographic sensing does not only focus on images, but also on fields such as cryptography. With this approach, Prof. Martinus found a way that is more precise and more efficient than previous research in the field of secret sharing cryptography.

Prof. Martinus Frederic Erezman from Nanyang Technological University presented his material at Webinar Series # 18.

Furthermore, Prof. Martinus explains data representation. There are three data representation properties that are desired. The first is the savings so that high-dimensional data should be stored in the form of low-dimensional data representations. The second is that the data representation can be properly recovered. And the third is to fulfill measurable performance according to the application domain.

After Prof. Martinus gave an overview of the general description of holographic sensing, he also explained the research results that have been published in the journal. In addition, Prof. Martinus also revealed the tools needed to conduct research in the field of holographic sensing. (k)
