On Friday, August 2, 2024, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held the New Student Induction Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year at ITS Stadium. This event was attended by all new ITS students, dressed in white tops and black bottoms, along with the blue ITS alma mater jackets. Thousands of new students from various departments gathered on the grassy field from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, marking the beginning of their academic journey at ITS.
During the event, Prof. Nurul Widiastuti, S.Si, M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at ITS, presented the New Student Admission Report for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This year, ITS welcomed a total of 6,485 new students. Of that number, the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (F-Electics) had the largest percentage, at 19.3%, with a total of 1,310 new F-Electics students.

ITS Rector, Bambang Pramujati, Ph.D., in his welcome speech, congratulated the new students and delivered an inspirational message. “Welcome to this extraordinary journey at ITS. Take advantage of the opportunities at ITS to develop yourself. My message is that it’s okay to make mistakes, apologize, and not repeat them. It’s okay to fall, get back up, and learn from what you’ve done. It’s okay to fail, try again until you succeed. But, you must not give up!”
This induction event was not only a formal moment but also a motivational one for the new students to start their journey at ITS with strong enthusiasm and determination. With full support from the lecturers and the entire ITS academic community, it is hoped that the new F-Electics students can achieve outstanding accomplishments and contribute to the advancement of intelligent electrical technology and informatics in the future.
