Surabaya, December 14, 2024 — The Faculty of Electrical and Informatics Engineering and Communication Technology (F-ELECTICS) at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) held its annual Work Meeting (Raker) to discuss various aspects of development and evaluation over the past five years. This meeting, which took place in the main room of F-ELECTICS, also marked a special moment, as it signified the end of Prof. Dr. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T.’s leadership as Dean of F-ELECTICS for the 2020-2024 period.
The event began at 9:00 AM with an opening speech by Prof. Ketut. In his speech, Prof. Ketut outlined the various achievements F-ELECTICS has accomplished during his leadership. “These past five years have been an extraordinary journey for F-ELECTICS. Thanks to the hard work of the team, we have achieved various accomplishments that have brought ITS recognition at both the national and international levels,” said Prof. Ketut.
The Work Meeting was also attended by the ITS Rector for the 2019-2024 period, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mochamad Ashari, M.Eng, IPU, AEng., who delivered motivation and appreciation to F-ELECTICS. In his presentation, Prof. Ashari highlighted the role of F-ELECTICS as one of the leading faculties at ITS. “F-ELECTICS has a strong track record in contributing achievements to ITS. I am confident that F-ELECTICS can maintain, and even surpass, its current achievements in the next period,” said Prof. Ashari.
The next session was filled with presentations from the Heads of Departments at F-ELECTICS. Each department head presented an evaluation and achievements over the past five years, as well as the strategic steps that have been taken to enhance the quality of education, research, and community service within their respective departments.
Not only academic leaders, but this Work Meeting also involved the administrative staff (tendik). The Heads of Subdivisions and Finance Divisions from each department, led by the Head of F-ELECTICS’s Administrative Division, held a separate meeting. The agenda of this meeting focused on discussing achievements and evaluations from the perspective of administrative and financial management. This aims to ensure that each supporting unit at F-ELECTICS can continue to improve efficiency and the quality of administrative services.
This event not only became a moment for reflection but also a significant opportunity to develop strategies and plans for F-ELECTICS’ future. Discussions regarding evaluations and suggestions for improvements were interactive, involving all participants, including faculty leadership, department heads, and supporting staff.
As the leadership of Prof. Dr. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T. comes to an end, F-ELECTICS is ready to welcome the next leadership period, with the hope of continuing to contribute the best for ITS and Indonesia.
