Laboratory of Histology and Anatomical Pathology

The Histology Laboratory is a facility where students learn about the microscopic structure of normal tissues and their development throughout the lifespan. The lab is equipped with binocular microscopes, optilab, microscopes with PC and camera attachments, as well as tissue slides that will be observed during practical sessions. These tools are also used for the Anatomy Pathology practicum, where the course requires the observation of tissues with specific cases.

Examinations in the Anatomy Pathology course may involve histopathology, histochemistry, cytology, and molecular studies. Additionally, there are various preserved specimens placed in special glass containers containing organs or tissues obtained from surgeries, including excisions, incisions, and biopsies, which support the learning of anatomical pathology.
