Japan Design Today 100
Agenda
The Japan Foundation is a special organization founded in 1972, with the aim of promoting international understanding through cultural exchange, one of which is by exhibitions. At present, more than 20 traveling exhibitions are taking place and in collaboration with museums in various parts of the world, one of which is Indonesia.
The contents of this traveling exhibition range from paintings and photographs, to dolls, crafts, and Japanese designs with the title “Japanese Design Today 100”. This exhibition combines exceptionally designed products in recent years and a group of modern designs from the 1950s to the 1990s that have a significant influence on contemporary design.
We hope that this exhibition will add to visitors’ knowledge of the latest Japanese design trends and features and at the same time provide them with insights into the current nature of Japanese culture.
