AGRIFOTECH Seminar “Blue Carbon and Eco-Bussiness”

We recently hosted a workshop on May 29 from 09:00-12:00 WIB with the theme “Blue Carbon and Eco-Business.” Moderated by Mr. Mukhammad Muryono, Ph.D., this workshop featured four fantastic speakers from Indonesia and abroad.

The speakers included Professor Joanne Potter from Marine Science at Heriot-Watt University, discussing “A Nature-Based Solution (NbS) for Climate and Coastal Communities”; Dr. Claudia Aravena from Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt University, exploring “Eco-Business as the Power of Nature and Pathway to Establish Indonesia as a Global Leader in NbS”; Dr. Pipit Pitriana from the Research Centre for Biosystematics and Evolution (PRBE-BRIN), presenting on “Biofouling Management: Application of Fouling Discs in Research”; and Dr. Indah Trisnawati discussing “Sustainable Aquaculture: Application of Mangrove as Waste Treatment.”

The workshop took place offline at the Biology Department, Building H, ITS, and was also live-streamed on the ITS Biology YouTube channel.
