Graduate (Master)

GOALS

The educational objective of the Master Program in Architecture is to improve the knowledge that has been obtained during education in the Undergraduate program in order to have the ability to:

  • Participate in the development of the field of architecture and keep up with the latest developments at national and international levels.
  • Formulate an approach to solve various problems by means of scientific reasons.
  • Improve professional services by means of research and development.
  • Developing professional abilities in a broader discipline by relating the field of architectural science.

In order to achieve this goal, efforts should be made to maintain a comprehensive architectural knowledge even though there is an opportunity to choose one particular field of expertise.


STUDY PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

In developing the studies, the Architecture Department collaborates with Univ. of Newcastle (UK), DPU Univ. of College London (UCL, UK), Univ. of Manchester (UK), Univ. of Melbourne (Australia), Univ. of Kyoto (Japan) and many more. This collaboration implemented in some forms such us guest lectures, joint research, exchange program, and other academic activities for the development of science and knowledge in architecture.


LEARNING TIME AND CREDIT EXPENSE

The period of completion of the master education program is two years, which is divided into four semesters. The study load per semester is 10-12 credits, 1 credit in the Masters program requires 4 hours of academic activity each week for 16 weeks per semester. So each participant is required to carry out academic activities between 36-48 hours per week.

Academic activities include:

  1. Mastery of theory (face to face in class and activities in the laboratory, design studio, literature study, play an active role in discussions, seminars, conduct research, and participate in the study / exam evaluation process)
  2. Field exploration (case study)
  3. Science and professional development

 

The total credit load for the Masters program is 36 credits, consisting of:

  1. Compulsory courses (15 credits)
  2. Elective courses: introduction and substance of expertise (13 credits)
  3. Research and thesis writing (8 credits)

PARTICIPANTS REQUIREMENTS

With Bachelor Degree Certified by State of Higher Education or Private Higher Education (has passed the state exam) with the following fields of study:

Architecture, for the field of expertise in Design & Criticism of Architecture and Environmental Architecture;

Architecture and Technology, for the area of ​​expertise in Settlements and Environment, Urban Design;

Architecture, T. Civil, T. Environment, Economics, for the field of Urban Development Management;

All engineering disciplines, health, agriculture, social and MIPA, for the field of expertise in Development Studies.

Have a minimum GPA of 2.50,
Take the selection entrance and admission.
