Our History

Biology Department from Faculty of Science – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember was established since 1998. As a part in one of Indonesia’s leading university, Biology Department offers a broad range and high quality of teaching programs on biological science and technology; and strengthened by 24 lecturers/researchers from Doctoral and Magister background.

• 1998, founded and consist only one Bachelor Study Program (S1)
• 2013, accredited with A grade by the BAN-PT for Bachelor Program (S1)
• 2016, Graduate Program (S2) was founded
• 2017, accredited with B grade by the BAN-PT for Graduate Program (S2)
• 2018, the Bachelor Program (S1) once again awarded with A grade from the BAN-PT
• 2021, the Bachelor Program (S1) of Biology Department of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember has been assessed and proven to meet the standards of ASEAN University Network
