To improve the quality of education in the field of Marine Technology in Indonesia, ClassNK which is a world ship classification organization, based in Tokyo, Japan, gave ClassNK Award to 3 final semester students, selected in the Faculty of Marine Technology, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember . ITS was chosen by ClassNK to organize ClassNK Award. In the year of 2018 becomes the 7th period of the consecutive ClassNK Award at ITS. The ClassNK Award assessment process is based on Academic and non Academic achievements and the best Essay Writing with the theme “Contribution of FTK to Maritime Industries Based on Industries Based on Industrial Revolution 4.0”. In addition, this activity is one form of ClassNK’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities to ITS as a form of appreciation for student achievements in the field of marine technology research and development in Indonesia. ClassNK Award in 2018 was given at the 58th Dies Natalis ITS, Saturday (11/10/2018) by Mr. Mamoru Matsuo as Country Manager of ClassNK-Indonesia. FTK has selected 13 candidates and got 3 winners, namely:1st place :Kitto Ario Basara from the Department of Marine Engineering2nd place :Ramadhani Satya Perdana from the Department of Ocean Engineering3rd place. :Alvarez Fero from the Department of Marine Transportation EngineeringThe winners received certificates from ClassNK signed directly by the President Director of ClassNk Japan.
