The design is based on Banyuwangi Regent Regulation Number 27 of 2016 concerning Uniforms in the Banyuwangi Regency Government Environment regarding the use of the Gajah Oling motif on uniforms in Banyuwangi. It aims to increase public interest through crafted products such as women’s bags, incorporating the guitar strap trend as the bag’s strap. This design combines the guitar strap mechanism on bags with distinctive patterns, focusing on aesthetics and flexibility. The research method includes several stages: literature study on guitar strap trends and Gajah Oling batik, the guitar strap mechanism on bags, embroidery techniques on apparel products, and the use of guitar straps in bag design. The next stage involves data collection through questionnaires distributed to women aged 18-30, interviews with Gajah Oling motif batik craftsmen, and examination of existing women’s bags with guitar straps and the application of guitar straps on bags. In the final stage, the bag design development process is carried out, focusing on the aesthetics of the Gajah Oling motif and the flexibility of the guitar strap used. This design results in a women’s bag with a guitar strap trend featuring a cultural, elegant, simple, and casual concept, with flexibility achieved by combining Gajah Oling motif embroidery patches and an adjustable guitar strap as the bag’s strap.
