DESIGN OF DECORATIVE LAMP SERIES USING COPPER MATERIAL WITH INDUSTRIAL CONCEPT

Abstract

Indonesia is classified among the seven countries with the largest copper reserves globally. Typically, copper is utilized in the industrial and construction sectors. Despite its widespread use, copper remains underutilized in the craft sector. However, with proper processing, copper can become a high-demand material, particularly for home decor. One of the potential home decor products is decorative lighting. One of the prominent centers for copper craftsmanship is located in Tumang Village, Boyolali Regency, Central Java. Copper possesses unique natural properties, including durability and aesthetic beauty, playing a crucial role in product success. The manufacturing process of these lighting products combines traditional and modern methods. Traditional forming methods result in a natural texture, adding a unique touch to the copper. Additionally, the main attraction of these products lies in the oxidized copper color. The final output comprises a series of lighting products, including pendant lights, table lamps, floor lamps, and wall lamps, intended to meet market demands. The harmony between industrial design, the richness of copper, and the needs of the contemporary market is expected to contribute significantly to the home decor industry.
