Tenun is one of the archipelago’s Wastra materials that has become a trend that quite echoed in 2023. This is a good start because it can preserve cultural heritage to the community and support tourism and Indonesia’s creative economy through the development of the fashion industry. However, the current interest in weaving community is still experiencing ups and downs, this is because woven products have not fully entered the target market in the community. To attract public interest, one way to do this is to adapt trends that are popular in society to be further developed into a product, one of which is fashion products. Fashion is an inseparable part of everyday life, especially in bag products. Products that occupy the first 10 ranks in online purchases are even often used as products that support fashion which can increase prestige and status for the wearer in a social group. Through literature studies, observations, interviews with craftsmen, exploration of techniques in making ornamental varieties, and tracing the development of trends towards bags are one of the methods in collecting data for this product design. The research results of the design studied are the development of Tuban Gedog weaving motifs using ornamental techniques on women’s bags combined with the uniqueness of the woven leather texture as a substitute material that refers to the development of trends in society.
