The background highlights the urgency of government policies regarding the use of battery-powered electric vehicles, Indonesia’s efforts to achieve Net Zero Emissions, and Indonesia’s role as one of the largest nickel producers. Jinggowati, an online F&B SME known for its homemade food, upholds core values that define its identity: Traditional, Local Collaboration, Family, and Sustainability. Established in 2020, this local company continues to strengthen its position in an increasingly competitive market through innovations that support these core values. To support its business activities, Jinggowati SME has various transportation needs, such as food delivery, ingredient shopping, and transporting pop-up booths. However, there are numerous challenges in meeting these transportation needs. The methods used to identify these problems include deep interviews, shadowing, and Customer Journey Mapping. The design method employed is Design Thinking. The design concepts of sustainability, modularity, and local genius were formulated based on the needs and problems analysis faced by Jinggowati SME. This resulted in the prototype of a modular electric motorcycle that can meet various needs of Jinggowati SME, a modular attachment system on the motorcycle frame, storage box modules made of rattan with stacking and modularity design systems, and an analysis of the most effective and maximum storage capacity for Jinggowati SME’s needs. Collaborating with Jinggowati SME, Avisindo, a rattan craftsman company based in Cirebon, and Lembinc Custom, a renowned custom motorcycle workshop in Indonesia’s automotive world, aims to realize a design concept that meets the needs of Jinggowati SME. With this innovation, the resulting electric motorcycle will accommodate the various business activities of Jinggowati, integrating them into a single environmentally friendly, functional transportation tool that reflects Jinggowati’s values.
