The Covid-19 pandemic created a global crisis that changed various aspects of life, from education to industry. One of the psychological phenomena that emerged was escapism, which is the behavior of avoiding reality by engaging in pleasurable activities. In the context of design, escapism has become a post-pandemic trend, combining imagination and recreation to overcome negative emotions. This phenomenon not only affects lifestyles but also trends in fashion and design, reflecting the desire to escape from difficult realities. Jewellry, as a part of fashion, also follows this trend. Ear cuffs, a type of earring that does not require piercing, are becoming popular due to their versatility and unique aesthetics. Ear cuffs offer a solution for those who want to look fashionable without having to pierce their ears. This research focuses on the development of escapism-style jewellry sets, especially on ear cuffs, which use a locking system to ensure comfort and safety. The design starts with observation and interviews as well as persona building to understand consumer preferences and needs analysis.Then prototyping using silver base material and enameling technique in giving color to jewellry ornaments.The results of this research are expected to introduce escapism style as a new style in jewellry, improve craftsmen’s skills, and provide innovative design alternatives. By developing a locking system on the ear cuff, this jewellry offers not only aesthetic but also practical functions. Ear cuffs, as an innovation in accessories, provide a wider choice for consumers who seek variety in style without having to sacrifice comfort. This design combines aspects of design, Trend, and economy to create a jewellry product that is not only visually appealing but also functional and relevant to current market needs. This research has produced a jewelry set with an escapism style, where the type of earrings used are earcuffs. This outcome contributes positively to the jewelry industry and can serve as an inspiration to continuously innovate in creating products that meet the needs of modern consumers.
