The cellulose fiber in SCOBY have characteristics similar to animal skin. From several previous studies that have tried to develop this material, there are still prospects for development that can be carried out. Therefore, in this study, the fokus of SCOBY material development is projected to become apparel material. In this study, SCOBY went through the experimental stages of purification, drying, coloring, and testing several techniques. The product output produced is a handbag through an apparel market survey, so that the product can meet market needs, especially for users with eco-friendly lifestyle values.
