This research aims to develop the design of women’s bags using Donggala handwoven fabric, a distinctive craft from Central Sulawesi, with the addition of crochet technique combination. This design combines the uniqueness of Donggala handwoven fabric, with its distinctive motifs and patterns, with the beauty and flexibility offered by the crochet technique. The research methodology consists of three stages, namely literature review on the history, production process, and characteristics of Donggala handwoven fabric, as well as the techniques and applications of crochet in bag design. The next stage involves data collection through observation, interviews with Donggala handwoven fabric artisans, and exploration of existing bag designs using crochet technique. The final stage is the process of developing bag designs, taking into consideration the uniqueness of Donggala handwoven fabric and crochet technique. The result of this research is a design of women’s bags that combines the beauty and uniqueness of Donggala handwoven fabric with the flexibility and aesthetics offered by the crochet technique. The bags are designed with attention to function, size, and layout that meet user needs. Furthermore, the design also reflects the culture and heritage of Central Sulawesi through the distinctive motifs and patterns of Donggala handwoven fabric.
