Master Program (S2)

The vision is to be a centre for education, research, and physical advancement in technological applications in regional and international level.

The Missions:

  1. Improve employee performance by meeting minimum service standards for routine duties according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  2. Improve and empower management and internal strength.
  3. Support management in strengthening international networks and promotions.
  4. Develop and implement an innovative-progressive activity agenda that underlies ITS efforts to gain international recognition.
  1. The graduates develop their professional careers in various fields of job position in the development and application of physics.
  2. They trust and respect of others among the team members.
  3. Researchers who can carry out independent research and can develop innovative and latest scientific works and/or pursuing their advanced degree.

They require students to show understanding of and/or skill in the following areas:

  1. Developing a positive and responsible attitude individually and collectively in law enforcement, ethics, community life and environmental sustainability.
  2. Developing logical, critical, systematic, and creative thinking through scientific research in science and technology according to the field of physics competence.
  3. Identifying the scientific field of physics as the research topics following the robust road map developed within inter- or multi-disciplinary science and technology.
  4. Mastering advanced physical concepts and their application to solving theoretical and experimental research problems based on the principles of the scientific method by analysing and processing data obtained in laboratories and nature.
  5. Identifying and implementing various special topics in physics using the analytical and computational approach or obtaining and processing the data through specific hardware and software.
  6. Implementing and updating sustainable physical knowledge by doing the appropriate research in many fields.
  7. Documenting, saving, arranging and presenting the research data based on scientific principle and ethics in the form of master thesis.
  8. Compiling and communicating the ideas and scientific argument to academic society or even public.

Panduan Penyusunan CPL-PLO

Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) mulai diijinkan menyelenggarakan pendidikan magister secara mandiri sejak tahun 1993/1994. Setelah melalui perjalanan panjang dalam pengelolaan pendidikan magister, saat ini Program Pascasarjana ITS menyelenggarakan dua puluh (20) Program Magister. Salah satunya adalah Program Magister Fisika FMIPA.

Jangka Waktu Belajar

Sesuai dengan kurikulum baru tahun 2018-2023, Program Magister mempunyai beban studi 36 (tiga puluh enam) sks setelah menyelesaikan Program Sarjana yang sebidang dan dijadwalkan dalam 4 (empat) semester.

Kegiatan akademik mencakup: mengikuti perkuliahan, mengulang pelajaran, melakukan kegiatan di laboratorium/studio, studi kepustakaan, berperan serta secara aktif dalam diskusi dan seminar, memperkaya ilmu dan melakukan penelitian, serta mengikuti proses evaluasi studi/ujian.

Gelar Kesarjanaan

Setelah mahasiswa menyelesaikan perkuliahan, kegiatan akademik yang lain (mis: kegiatan laboratorium) dan tesis, akan mendapat gelar kesarjanaan Magister Sains (M.Si).

Persyaratan Pendaftar Program Studi Magister (S2)

  1. Peserta program terbuka bagi calon yang memiliki latar belakang sarjana Perguruan Tinggi Negeri atau Perguruan Tinggi Swasta dengan program studi yang terakreditasi minimal B, atau perguruan tinggi yang terakreditasi minimal B.
  2. Mempunyai kemampuan akademik yang baik dan atau mempunyai IP minimal 2,75 untuk skala 4.
  3. Mendapatkan rekomendasi dari :
    • Pimpinan instansi bagi yang sudah bekerja.
    • Mantan pembimbing akademik program sarjana.
    • Dosen senior, Guru Besar Doktor atau Master dengan Jabatan lektor Kepala.
  4. Menyatakan kesanggupan menyelesaikan pendidikan magister di Program Pascasarjana ITS.
  5. Menyerahkan hasil test TPA dan TOEFL dari Institusi kredibel atau mendapat pengesahan dari ITS dengan nilai minimal 400.
  6. Lulus seleksi masuk/test masuk:
    • Tulis (Materi Bidang)
    • Wawancara
