The Basic Physics Laboratory is an essential academic facility designed to enhance students’ understanding of Basic Physics Laboratory concepts through hands-on practical activities. It caters to students from various study programs within Faculty of Science and Data Analytics( FSAD and other faculties, particularly those with basic physics courses in their curriculum. By combining experimental practices with theoretical learning, the Basic Physics Laboratory plays a crucial role in building a strong foundation in Basic Physics Laboratory.

Facilities and Equipment

The Basic Physics Laboratory is well-equipped to conduct experiments in various areas of Basic Physics Laboratory, including:

• Mechanics: Studying motion, Newton’s laws, energy, momentum, and oscillations.
• Electricity and Magnetism: Exploring electric circuits, magnetic fields, Kirchhoff’s laws, and capacitance.
• Thermodynamics: Measuring temperature and heat while examining the laws of thermodynamics.
• Optics: Performing experiments on diffraction, interference, refraction, and optical instruments like mirrors and lenses.
• Waves and Vibrations: Investigating mechanical waves, acoustics, and harmonic oscillations.

Objectives

The Basic Physics Laboratory aims to:

• Reinforce theoretical physics knowledge through practical experiments.
• Cultivate experimental skills such as measurement, data analysis, and scientific reporting.

Practicum

Management

The laboratory is managed by a professional team comprising:

• Lecturers: Responsible for developing experimental modules and evaluating student performance.
• Technicians: Ensure that all equipment is prepared and functioning properly to support smooth practical activities.
• Laboratory Assistants: Senior students who guide and assist participants during experiments.

In addition to supporting regular courses, the laboratory is also used for training and research.
