Medical Physics and Biophysics
Physics applications that focus on studying the fields of Radiotherapy, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine. The process of teaching and learning activities is focused on learning and researching radiation physics and dosimetry, the application of external and internal radiation beams produced by therapy machines, and external and internal radiotherapy planning. Medical imaging, image quality, and image reconstruction produced by Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, magnetic resonance (MRI), and nuclear medicine are also studied and researched. In addition, studying and researching the relationship between microscopic interactions with cell responses, deterministic and stochastic effects, radiation detection equipment, and radiation protection, radiation effects on living cells occur in all medical activities that utilize ionizing radiation, in the fields of diagnostics, radiotherapy, and nuclear medicine. Furthermore, the physical processes in living things and the application of physics in research on living things are also studied and researched.
