On February 6, 2025, two F-ELECTICS professors were officially inaugurated. Prof. Eko Setijadi, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., an expert in Antenna and Propagation, delivered a scientific oration titled “Mastering Antenna Technology as the Key to National Independence and Sovereignty.” He emphasized that mastering antenna technology plays a strategic role in supporting the telecommunications and national defense industries.

“Our ability to design and manufacture antennas ourselves will determine how independent we can be in the fields of telecommunications and defense. We must not rely entirely on foreign technology,” he stressed.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rivai, S.T., M.T., an expert in Electronic Sensor Technology, presented a scientific oration titled “The Role of Electronic Nose Technology in Quality Evaluation and Future Innovation.” He explained that e-nose technology can bring significant benefits to the health, economic, environmental, and security sectors by enhancing accuracy in analysis and substance detection using electronic sensors.

“E-nose technology allows us to detect scents with high accuracy, replacing the limitations of the human sense of smell in various applications, from food quality testing to medical diagnosis,” he stated.

On February 20, 2025, three more FT-EIC professors were also inaugurated. Prof. Dr. Ir. Umi Laili Yuhana, S.Kom., M.Sc., from Tulungagung, an expert in Software Engineering for Education, delivered a scientific oration titled “Software Engineering as a Catalyst for Digital Innovation for Quality and Sustainable Education.” She highlighted the role of technology in enhancing the effectiveness and accessibility of education without diminishing the essence of conventional learning.

“Technology is not a replacement for teachers, but a partner in creating more interactive and effective learning experiences. We must harness it to improve the quality of education in Indonesia,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Wiwik Anggreani, S.Si., M.Kom., from Madiun, an expert in Predictive Analytics in Big Data, presented an oration titled “Exploring the Future with Big Data: The Role of Predictive Analytics in Strategic Decision-Making.” In her speech, she discussed how predictive analytics can utilize historical data to forecast future trends, with applications across various sectors, including business and government.

“Data is the new wealth in this digital era. With predictive analytics, we can make more precise strategic decisions based on hidden patterns in data,” she revealed.
