The entire series of activities for the 63rd Dies Natalis celebration has been successfully conducted, one of which is the ITS Sport Competition (ISC). This competition encompasses various sports, including Table Tennis, Tennis, Basketball, Futsal, Badminton, Volleyball, E-Sports, and Chess. In addition to being a successful host for the 63rd Dies Natalis celebration, the Faculty of Electrical and Intelligent Informatics (ELECTICS) has achieved remarkable success in various sports.
ELECTICS has secured podium finishes in several sports. The Basketball Team (Men) showed extraordinary spirit on the court, with solid teamwork and effective strategies, securing 2nd place in the competition. The Volleyball Team (Men) of ELECTICS also demonstrated their skills and successfully claimed the 3rd place. Equally enthusiastic, the Badminton Team earned a spot on the podium as the 3rd place after intense competition with other teams. In the current digital era, the DOTA II Team of Electics showcased its excellence in e-sports, securing the Runner-Up position. Not only that, but the Valorant Team also contributed to the trophy collection by achieving the 3rd place.
Effort does not betray results, a saying that reflects the unity and fighting spirit of each team in various sports disciplines, forming the cornerstone of their victories. The success achieved by the ELECTICS teams is not solely attributed to individual skills but is also a result of team cohesion. Prior to competing on the field, ELECTICS teams undertook thorough preparations through training, ensuring both physical and mental conditions were optimal. Regular training not only enhanced the skills of each team member but also served as a means to strengthen camaraderie and solidarity among them. “In one week, we practice one to two times. With frequent training and meetings, we also bond and become closer to each other,” expressed one of the ELECTICS basketball players. The outstanding achievements of the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (ELECTICS) in the ITS Sport Competition (ISC) not only showcase the prowess of its students in the field of sports but also serve as an inspiration for the entire student.
