FGD: Green Innovation for Circular Economy

Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya through the ILB Research Center in collaboration with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), Widya Mandala Catholic University (UKWM) and the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) developed a Research Center based on Circular Economy and Green Innovation . This research center has the aim of developing the utilization of industrial waste and linking research and development that has been carried out in Indonesia and also in Taiwan with various industries in both countries. In this regard, a Focus Group Discussion with the theme “Green Innovation for Circular Economy” will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. At the Swiss-Belinn Hotel, l. Manyar Kertoarjo No. 100 Surabaya. Representatives in this opening include: Prof. J.C. Liu, Vice Chancellor of NTUST and PI STIC, Assoc Prof. Bambang Pramudjati, Vice Chancellor for Research Cooperation and ITS Alumni and Prof. Ir. Suryadi Ismadji, Dean of the UWM Faculty of Engineering. The speaker at the event was Ir. Sigit Reliantoro, M.Sc, (Director General of Environmental Pollution and Damage Control, Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry) regarding PROPER Implementation to support sustainability and the Circular Economy. Next, President Chang-Ching HO (Taiwan Concrete Institute- President KATEK R&D Corp., will talk about waste utilization and the implementation of the Circular Economy in Taiwan. The third speaker will be the Dean and Professor Ching-Hwa LEE (Department of Environmental Engineering, Da-Yeh University), cooperation with the Penta helix model in Taiwan on the implementation of research for industry.
