As an introduction to the International Workshop on Cyber Security and Data Science (CyberDaS 2023) which will be held on 2-5 October 2023, the Informatics Engineering Department held a guest lecture by inviting Dimas Surya as a Digital Forensic Investigator for the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation on 28 February 2023 and held online through Zoom Meeting.
Dimas Surya is a digital forensic investigator with 12 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity. In this guest lecture, he conveyed about Evidence handling in digital forensics. Dimas Surya said that internationally and nationally, evidence handling uses two bases, namely ACPO and SNI 27037. Technically, what must be done according to SNI 270237 simple model is identification, collection, acquisition, preservation with 3 conditions, namely relevance, reliability, sufficiency.
Dimas Surya said that to get involved in digital forensics, you have to understand how computers work, keep abreast of new technological developments, you have to read a lot of references on cybersecurity and keep trying in this field so you can get used to it in digital forensics.
