The Interior Design Department has just held the CommTech Camp Insight 2019, this activity in collaboration with the Directorate of International Office, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. “Jumputan: The Indonesian Traditional Tie Dye” was attended by at least 64 participants from 14 countries. The participants consisted of students, university staff and lecturers from Malaysia, Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Poland, Pakistan and India.
The purpose of this activity is to introduce the nation’s cultural heritage to the international community. The participants were given material about the history of Tie Dye and were invited to make matching creations with various techniques such as tie, fold, wrinkle, press and others.
