The Hitachi Scholarship Foundation offer several kind of Hitachi scholarship Programs in 2016 for ITS faculty members. The scholarships are :
– The Hitachi Scholarship Program :
This program offered to university faculty members who would like to take a Doctoral Course in science & technology at Japanese graduate school. The Program has been devised to encourage scholars to return their university to continue their educational and research pursuits after completion of their studies in Japan. Under this program, we have invited a total of 179 faculty members since 1985.
– The Hitachi Research Fellowship Program
This program has been devised to encourage university faculty members who would like to conduct post doctoral research in science & technology. The program has been like to conduct post-doctoral reseacrh in science and technology. The program has been devised to allow fellows to enhance their professional backgrounds and to promote academic collaboration through development of relations with Japanese universities and institutions. We have invited a total of 180 faculty members since 1986.
– The Komai Fellowship Program
This program started in 1989 under the uaspices of late Mr. K. Komai, the first Chairman of the Hitachi Scholarship Foundation, to encourage greater interaction between Southeast Asian Countries and Japan. The program, accordingly, has been devised to encourage the university faculty members to enhance their academic and professional backgrounds in social sciences in connection with Japan. We have invited 48 members to date.
