Surabaya (02/11/15) Workshop Division of ITS International Office held sharing session with University of Nevada, Reno USA at 14.30 – 16.00 WIB in Ruang Sidang LPPM 2nd Floor. This session aimed to inform the ITS students about studying in University of Nevada. 36 students from various departments attended this session.
This sharing session was attended by Ms. Beth Loureiro as International Admission and Recruitment Coordinator, University of Nevada and Ms. Ratna Widjaja from Education USA. This session was begun by a brief explanation about University of Nevada including the reason why we should choose UNR, the colleges, facilities for International students, scholarship available, and also story about Reno city.
There are 8 colleges available in University of Nevada, Reno, College of Education, College of Science, School of Journalism, College of Business, College of Liberal Arts, College of Engineering, Division of Health Sciences, and College of Agriculture, Biotechnology, and Natural Resources. This university currently has 755 International students enrolled from 74 online casino Countries.
Beth also added information about Reno city. Located on the west coast of the United States of America, at the base of the Sierra Mountains in Nevada, Reno is close to cities in California and offers its residents a taste of all four seasons: Spring, summer, fall and winter.
After the explanation, it came to Q&A session and followed by Pop Quiz about the explanation. There were some souvenirs from University of Nevada given to the students who can answer the questions.
At the end, all participants together with the speakers took pictures together.
