Newcastle University is searching some potential candidate (with Bachelor first class degree, or at least 2:1) for a PhD DTA scholarship and a partial MPhil school scholarship. The PhD DTA project description can be seen as below:

The partial MPhil school scholarship worth 6.5k to cover an EU student tuition fee (4.5k) and the rest is stipend (2k). The project title is LNG driven free piston engine development. It requests the candidate having general mechanical engineering background, prefer to any student with engine background. It welcomes international student to apply but it can only cover part of the international tuition fee, no stipend left.
The PhD DTA scholarship is applicable to EU and international students. It will cover both tuition fee and stipend for both EU and international students. Master degree graduate is preferred and with at least 2:1 bachelor degree in engineering.
Both PhD and MPhil will be based at Newcastle. For DTA PhD, the student will have the chance to fly to Singapore every year. The deadline is 26th February 2016 at 17:00 GMT.
