British Council open registration for Future News Worldwide 2018 program. Selected candidates will be fully funded for training in Scotland. Students from all majors may apply.
This journalistic training scholarship covers the cost of flights, accommodation, consumption, and others.
Detail of Future News Worldwide Program
Future News Worldwide is a partnership programme between the British Council and some of the world's leading media organisations which identifies, trains and connects the next generation of global journalists. This program is an intensive two-day training, July 5-6 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Participants can develop practical and editorial skills during this training.
Post-conference, a year-round global alumni network will support attendees to engage with one another, implement their learning and continue their professional development.
Attendance at the conference is fully funded for successful applicants. This includes the following:
1.Travel to and from local airport to Edinburgh for the dates of the conference 2.The cost of one Standard Service visa application (if required) 3. Accommodation 4. Catering on conference days. 5. All other related conference costs
Future News Worldwide Applicant Qualification
Future News Worldwide applicant must fulfill the following criterias: 1. Undergraduate or graduate student in any major. 2. Aged 18-25 years on 1 July 2018. 3. Commit to a career in the field of journalism in various forms. 4. English language ability is equivalent to IELTS score of 6.5. 5. Can attend to UK on 2 – 8 July 2018.
File Entry Requirements and Processes
Applicants only need to fill in the Online Registration Form (see on its website). However, if selected, applicants must prepare a proof file that meets the applicant's qualification criteria (eg KTM, KTP, etc.).
Before filling out the form, applicants must prepare a Motivation Statement and report on political, environmental, technological or social issues. Further detail about terms of Motivation Statement and report can be seen in How to Apply (https://shar.es/1MSovw).
