College of Engineering, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) Taiwan will be held 2 weeks summer internship for international students. This program will be held on July 31 – August 14, 2019
The main objective of the summer program is to enhance the education collaboration and student exchange between our sister universities. Last year’sprogram gathered 30 international students from the University of Delaware USA、University of California Davis, USA、University of Massachusetts–Lowell, USA、Wayne State University, USA、University of Cincinnati, USA、Czech Technical University, Czech Republic. Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland. Toyota Technological Institute, Japan、Tohoku University, Japan、Nanzan University, Japan、Waseda University, Japan、Seowon University, Korea、Kasetsart University, Thailand、Chiang Mai University, Thailand、Nong Lam University、University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam、Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. The program included Chinese culture courses as well as special lectures in the fields of engineering. Students were able to explore the state-of-the-art engineering technologies developing in Taiwan as well as experience the beauty of this “treasure island”. During the two weeks, students also joined different directed study programs in the selected research groups from the college. The outcomes of the directed study were presented in the end of the summer program.
Participants will directly join the independent study program in one of the selected research groups from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Precision Engineering and Biomedical Engineering

NCHU will provide 1 scholarship for 1 selected ITS Student to join this program. The scholarship will cover program fee, dorm & food expenses. The selected students should cover the rest of payment such as roundtrip flight ticket, visa, insurance & other personal expenses.
This program is eligible for for ITS students with criteria below :
– D3, D4 & S1 batch 2015 & 2016
– S2 batch 2018 & 2017

1. 2019 NCHU summer program application form & consent letter
Please mentioned in which lab and dept in College of Engineering, NCHU that you would like to do internship
2. Official Academic Transcript in English Version
3. Valid Scanned TOEFL/IELTS Certificate ( You can use EFL from ITS min 477)
4. Scanned Passport with validity minimum 1 year
5. Motivation Letter “why you are eligible for this program” (maximum 2 pages, TNR 12, Margin 3,3,3,3)
6. Certificate of Enrollment
7. Statement Letter (You can download from http://io.its.ac.id/short-programs-for-its/ )
The incomplete & over deadline application will not process by Study Abroad Team.
Please submit all of your documents (softcopy and in PDF Format) through Mr. Wahyu at studyabroad@its.ac.id with format subject Apply_NCHU_SummerInternship_Name_NRP maximum on April 3, 2019 (23.59 WIB). The Interview session will be held on 5 April 2019. The applicants must bring the original statement letter during the interview session. Please kindly note that the applicants must attend the interview session (there is no online interview).
