NTUST Student Exchange Spring Semester 2020

National Taiwan University of Science & Technology (NTUST)  would like to inform you that the registration for a semester exchange application for spring  semester (Intake Feb – Mid of June 2020) is already opened. The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dorms and living expenses in Taiwan including Roundtrip Flight Ticket & Travel Insurance

This program is open for ITS students with criteria below :

–  D4 / S1 minimum batch 2017

–  S2/S3 who already completed minimum 1 semesters

The language of instruction at Taiwan Tech is mainly Chinese; however, the university offers more than 160 courses in English every semester at Graduate Level.

If course list is not available for 2020 spring semester, you could refer to 2019 spring  as most courses
will be the same.

⚫ Course selection information will be announced by the Academic Affairs Office. Courses usually
announced 1-2 months prior to semester start.

Minimum credits
Bachelor min 9 credits and you must transfer minimum 9 credits in ITS system. You may take courses in graduate level (for last year students)

Master and PhD min 1 courses and can take courses from different dept

Note:

1 credit = 18 teaching hours, 1 course = 2 or 3 credits. Each course lasts a semester (18 weeks). 1 credit usually equal to 1.6 ~ 3 ECTS credits (depends on home university)

Accommodation

Taiwan Tech is not able to provide on-campus dorm due to dorm renovation. However, they have a list
of housing agent/ contacts, and will forward the information to students who need flats during their
stay in Taiwan Tech.

Free Mandarin Chinese Program

The Chinese Language Program (CLP) at Taiwan Tech is designed especially for international students
and other Chinese learners. This program focuses on daily conversation on various topics, such as
eating, clothing, living, transportation and entertainment. The CLP is offered by the Language Center;
detailed information on courses and application will be announced on arrival.

Here are the required documents that you need to prepare :

1. CV

2. Certificate of Enrollment

3. An Official Academic Transcript in English version

4. One recommendation letter from an academic advisor

5. Scanned ID Students

6. Photocopy of the applicant’s passport information page (at least valid until one year)

7. Valid English Proficiency Test Score (original). TOEFL/IELTS/IBT  (You can use EFL minimum 477)

8. Learning Agreement (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ) Please only submit with your department coordinator ( Head of Dept ) signed only. You don’t need to get signed at Institutional Coordinator and please leave blank for that section.

9. Statement Letter (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange )

10. Certificate health insurance at least for 6 months ( you can submit it later after passed ITS International Office selection)

The incomplete documents can’t be process by study abroad team

You must bring your original documents at Interview Selection (around 9-10 Sept 2019)
