“Budcast”, short for “Buddy Podcast”, has officially launched its pilot episode with two special guests: Peter Steve Ngabwe from Zambia, who is under the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) scholarship, and Eric, Peter’s buddy from ITS Global Engagement volunteers. In this episode of Budcast, Peter and Eric converse with one another about the latest hot topic as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a casual setting. The hot topic adapted this time is the recent news of continuing online learning until the year of 2021, which is linked to SDG 4, Quality Education. The main goal of Budcast series is to serve as a medium for both the KNB students and their buddy to discuss with one another while promoting SDGs, which in this case is how online learning already in accordance with SDG 4, Quality Education. This pilot episode of Budcast also did an in-depth coverage about ITS students’ perspective of the implementation of #StudyAtHome and ITS’ efforts to maintain Quality Education during the pandemic. Reaching the end, Peter and Eric had a virtual games session, which consist of Buddy Synchronization Test and Guess the Drawing!
A big appreciation to Budcast pilot episode special guests, Peter and Eric, who were enthusiastic in being a part of the episode and passionately conveyed their stories and reacted to the recent news of online learning until 2021. A memorable moment of this pilot episode of Budcast would definitely be the virtual games session, where Peter and Eric laugh together while recalling memories of their first meeting and first impressions of each other. Not just the Synchronization Buddy Test, there was Guess the Drawing game where Peter and Eric take turns in drawing a certain keyword while the other try to guess what it is. The Games session was filled with laughter and funny drawings that do not necessarily described the key word given!
The output of Budcast is in the form of a podcast with video that is uploaded on ITS Global Engagement social media, specifically ITS GE’s Youtube channel and Instagram TV for the full episode.
