EPF Graduate School of Engineering the fourth edition of the online summer school program SUSTAINABLE SMART CITIES will address the interface between sustainability and smart technology as applied to the cities of the future.
Through a transversal approach, this multidisciplinary summer school will provide participants with an in-depth understanding of how sustainability pillars may be applied in smart cities and how artificial intelligence, internet of things, communication technology and circular economy may be wisely and effectively used for healthy smart cities.
Professors and professionals from the United States, Denmark, South Africa, Ghana, and Australia, as well as Gustave Eiffel University and Strate School of Design from France, joined the EPF faculty team to offer our participants both an in-depth and global perspective on the topic of sustainability in smart cities through French and international projects and approaches.
Designed as a comprehensive two-week training program, the summer school encompasses two modules that can be completed independently or together.
MODULE I: July 5th to July 9th, 2021 MODULE II: July 12th to July 17th, 2021 Each module corresponds to 2.5 academic ECTS credits.
Language: English Participants’ profile: Students BSc/MSc level, Ph.D. students, young researchers and professionals who want to improve and find new opportunities in their work and research through a comprehensive understanding of the sustainability practices in smart cities (especially those with engineering, urban planning, architecture, environmental and social sciences background).
