Greetings ITS students.

Common Purpose is a global leadership development not-for-profit, with over 30 years of experience running experiential in-person and online programs and courses. Over 8,000 students participate in our programs each year, which are designed to enable students to develop crucial skills and competencies to be successful and create an impact in their universities, workplaces, societies, and communities.

Their upcoming programs will bring together university students from across the Asia-Pacific region online, particularly when social distancing has limited their coming together in person. Their two upcoming programs are as below:

Global Citizenship Asia-Pacific: 2-24 September 2021.

This hybrid 3-week program will again bring together students from across universities in the Asia-Pacific region and offer them a chance to develop the skills and competencies to step up as a global citizens and advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

As a result of this programme, students will:

  • identify and commit to taking action on one SDG
  • collaborate with a diverse group of peers from universities across the world
  • develop the skills to work with their peers to advance their shared goals
  • create action and implementation plans to work on their goal after the programme ends
  • gain the Global Citizenship micro-credential, demonstrating to employers they have the skills to effect complex change.

Each university has the opportunity to send 50 – 100 students. The programme fees are:

  •  SG $3,500 for up to 50 students
  •  SG $5,000 for up to 100 students

Global Leadership Forum Asia-Pacific: Thursday 28 October 2021

This program will bring together students from universities across the Asia-Pacific region to explore how they – as individuals and collectively – can stand up as leaders and create the impact they aspire to, both in their cities and beyond. This program will give students an opportunity to think about their own leadership by meeting with and hearing from leaders across the globe.

Global Leadership Forums help students to:

  • explore key challenges in the workplace and in society
  • understand what it means to be a leader
  • appreciate when and how to lead across boundaries.
