A Semester Exchange at Coventry University Semester 2, 2022/2023

Dear ITS Students,

Coventry University, UK would like to inform you that the registration for a semester exchange application for semester 2, 2023/2023 (16 Jan – 15 April 2023) is already opened.  The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dorms and living expenses in UK including roundtrip flight ticket,visa, quarantine and insurance. Students also need to pay attention with the entry regulations to enter UK. The students must gather information by their own including the funding trip.

This program is open for ITS Students S1 only batch 2020, 2021. This program is not open for other level due to agreement that we had with Coventry University. ITS Students also only can apply  at Faculty of Business & Law and Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Computing. Students cannot mix courses from different faculties

Prerequisites
Some courses/modules may require prerequisites; the requirements are clearly stated on the course and module information sent to students.

ITS Students need to take min 25 ECTS and maximum 30 ECTS at Coventry Univ and must transfer maximum credit opportunity.

Visas and immigration
Students will need to adhere to the relevant immigration requirements for a UK visa which may differ from our minimum requirement. For further guidance please click here.
Visa options:
1. Standard Visitor Visa allows students to come to the UK for a short period of time (up to 6 months), such as to participate in an exchange programme. Some nationalities will need to apply in advance for a Standard Visitor Visa. You cannot extend a visitor visa nor switch into a different visa category in the UK while on a Standard Visitor visa.

2. Student visa allows the student to come to the UK for study lasting more than 6 months. Please see visa guide below for useful information: https://www.gov.uk/student-visa/apply

Important update about Brexit and visas

Please note that visa requirements for EU nationals coming to study in the UK have changed. Visa required depends on students’ length of stay. Students nominated for Semester 1 only will not be able to extend their mobility to Full Academic Year. If you have any students that you are planning to nominate for Semester 1 only that might want to extend their stay, please inform both the Study Abroad team and relevant Faculty by 31st May 2022 as any extensions (from Semester 1 to Full Academic Year) will not be possible after this date.

Please note: All students’ attendance will be monitored, and all students on the Student Visa route will have attendance/engagement monitored by the International Student Compliance Team (ISC), to ensure they remain compliant with UKVI regulations and visa conditions. Please be aware that you cannot extend your study period (from one semester to full academic year) after your application is completed.

2. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages)
3. Learning Agreement (Download it here bit.ly/its-student-exchange). Please kindly fill department coordinator with the signature head of department/coordinator academic at your department. Please leave it blank at Institutional Coordinator
4. Official Academic Transcript in English version minimum GPA 3.00
5. A Valid English Proficiency English Test certificate. Coventry only accept IELTS min 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in every components) or TOEFL IBT min 79 (with minimum score 18 in every components)
6. One recommendation letter from an academic advisor
7. Scanned Valid Passport (validity minimum 1 year prior to the starting date of the program)

9. Certificate of GCW Non Degree (minimum C) or Result Test GCW Non Degree min 80, GCW IUP Basic/ GCW IUP Advanced
10. Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program)

The incomplete application will not processed by Study Abroad Team.
