INSA RENNES France would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for Fall semester (Intake End of August 2023) is already opened. The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dorms and living expenses in France including Roundtrip Flight Ticket, Visa& Travel Insurance. Students also need to check the entry regulations from France Government.
We advise you to choose courses in the same year to prevent time-table conflicts:– semester 5 : 1st semester of the 3rd year– semester 6 : 2nd semester of the 3rd year– semester 7 : 1st semester of the 4th year– semester 8 : 2nd semester of the 4th year– semester 9 : 1st semester of the 5th year.
Studies at INSA Rennes are flexible as the school uses the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), a European standard for comparing study attainment. When courses are successfully completed, the students earn credits; the normal total for an INSA student being 30 credits per semester. The student’s choice has to be approved by both the home university and INSA.
Exchange students are required to attend a French Language course (4 hrs/week) for 4 ECTS credits per semester. Course codes (for the learning agreement): Spring semester HUMF2-FLE+ = 3 ECTS for courses HUMF2-FLEP = 1 ECTS for a project
Accommodation: Service VIE AU CAMPUS serv-vac@insa-rennes.fr http://www.insa-rennes.fr/en/accommodation.html To secure accommodation, students should fill in, sign and upload the accommodation contract in their online application.
Visa: Students from outside Europe should ask for a student visa. We advise them to ask for a long stay visa VLS-TS instead of a temporary long stay visa (VLS-T) otherwise they will not be able to extend their visa if they wish to prolong their exchange study period.
