2023 NCHU Engineering Summer Camp

College of Engineering, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) Taiwan will be held 2 weeks summer camp for international students. This program will be held on July 26 – August 9, 2023.

The main objective of the summer camp is to enhance the education collaboration and student exchange between our sister universities. Last time’s program gathered 29 international students from USA, Poland, France, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. The program included Chinese culture courses as well as Laboratory Experience. Students were able to explore the state-of-the-art engineering technologies developing in Taiwan as well as experience the beauty of this “treasure island”. During the two weeks, students also joined different directed study programs in the selected research groups from the college. The outcomes of the directed study were presented in the end of the summer camp.

Participants will directly join the independent study program in one of the selected research groups from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering,  Graduate Institutes (Precision Engineering and Biomedical Engineering)

NCHU will provide 1 scholarship for 1 selected ITS Student to join this program. The scholarship will cover program fee, dorm & food expenses. The selected students should cover the rest of payment such as roundtrip flight ticket, visa, insurance & other personal expenses.

This program is eligible for ITS students with criteria below :

– D4 & S1 batch 2019 & 2020 (This program are open for reguler students only, IUP Students can’t apply this program)

– S2 batch 2022 & 2021

Have collected stamp4it (Aug 2022 – Mar 2023 period) minimum 4 stamps (you may contact the PIC stamp4it to confirm about your stamp status)

For ITS students who are interested with this program, please kindly to prepare the documents below:

1.  NCHU summer camp 2023 application form & consent letter

2. Official Academic Transcript in English Version

3. Valid English Proficiency certificate (original). TOEFL/IELTS/IBT with minimum score 477 (You can use EFL and screenshoot from web UPT Bahasa is acceptable, However TEFL from Dirpendik is not acceptable). You may also use Duolingo English test with minimum score 85.

4. Scanned Passport with validity minimum 1 year (it must be 1 year from 26 July 2023)

5. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages, TNR 12, Margin 3,3,3,3). PLease mentioned clearly in which Lab are you intereested

6. Certificate of Enrollment

The incomplete & over deadline application will not process by Study Abroad Team.

Please submit all of your documents (softcopy and in PDF Format) through Mr. Wahyu at studyabroad@its.ac.id with format subject Apply_NCHU_SummerCamp_Name_NRP maximum on 4 April 2023 (16.00 WIB). The Interview session will be held on 6 April 2023 around 20.00 – 21.30 WIB.
