International Summer University Program 2023 at Hochschule Darmstadt

Dear ITS Students,

Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany) invited ITS students to join “International SummerUniversity Program 2023 at Hochschule Darmstadt”.

Get the most out of your summer and join us for a summer school in the heart of Germany. Our short-term program combines an academic module “In Transition to a Pure Green Energy Economy” with a German language course and several free time and leisure activities. The International Summer University 2023 will take place from June 09 until July 01, 2023. Online classes start in May 2023.

The program takes place from June 09 (arrival day) until July 01 (departure day), with three additional virtual sessions on May 20, May 26, June 02. As you may know from past programs, the ISU consists of an academic module (6 ECTS), a German language course (3 ECTS) and several cultural activities (day trips to Heidelberg and the Rhine River Valley, riding a solar draisine, hiking, trivia night, intercultural training, and many more). As an ISU 2023 highlight, we will offer a 4-day academic excursion to Berlin, including discussions with a member of parliament, touring the EUREF-Campus and visiting the GreenTechFestival.

Please kindly note the selected participants must cover another expenses including airfare ticket, visa, meals and other expenses. Students also need to pay attention regarding the regulations to enter Germany. The students must gather information by their own including the funding trip. 

This program open for Diploma, Bachelor & Master students of ITS (not open for D3/D4/S1 batch 2022)

Program fee:
Special price for ITS students only have to pay 1.000 Euro for the entire program (included in the program fee: accommodation, seminar materials and company visits, all planned excursion and cultural activities, public transportation within the city of Darmstadt, insurances).

Available partial scholarship slots for 4 ITS students. The Scholarship worth 800 Euro. That means the students would still need to pay the 1.000 Euro program fee, but once in Germany they would receive a check for 800 Euro

For ITS students who are interested with this program, please prepare your documents below: 

1. CV (including the photo and please make sure you mention birth date, dept in ITS, email and phone number)

2. The Latest Official Academic Transcript in english version

3. Scanned of Valid TOEFL/TEFL/EFL (EFL is TOEFL from web UPT Bahasa) min 477 or IELTS min 6,0 (score screenshoot from web UPT Bahasa and TOEFL prediction are not acceptable) 

4. Scanned of Valid Passport (valid minimum at least one year)

5. Short Motivation Letter in English.

The motivation letter should be short but concise and you may refer to following aspects:

• Why are you interested to join the winter course at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences?
• What is your special interest in the subject?
• What added benefit do you expect to get by joining a short-term programme in Germany?
• How does the topic relate to your studies?
• What skills and knowledge do you have to successfully complete the programme?
• How do you prepare yourself for the programme?

7. Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program)

If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_ISUHDa_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline extended until 6 April 2023 ( 23.59 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 7 April 2023.
