Pohang University of Science & Technology (POSTECH) South Korea would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for Fall semester 2023 (Intake September 4, 2023 – December 22, 2023) is open. The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dorms, visa fees and living expenses in Korea including Roundtrip Flight Ticket & Insurance.
The POSTECH International Exchange Program will give you the opportunity to study and immerse yourself in the Korean culture and actively participate in research activities under supervision of an advising professor. The POSTECH International Exchange Program is offered for undergraduate/graduate students from partner universities of POSTECH around the world.
ALERT: Restrictions in Student/Campus Life The current national measures for COVID-19 prevention includes “no personal gatherings exceeding 4 people”, and POSTECH does not encourage events or activities, international/intercity travels that may relate. There will be limitations in enjoying the full academic and cultural experience of the exchange program, and such measures may be elevated accordingly.

Course Registration Exchange students will register for courses on POVIS during the designated period for exchange students, if spaces permit. To register for classes with prerequisites, please directly consult with the professor/instructor and submit the “Change of Course Registration Form” to the host department office during the add/drop period (first week of semester).

Students are required to purchase a separate insurance plan that covers most illnesses and injuries and is valid for at least 1 month from the student’s arrival in Korea. Additionally, as of March 2021, all international students in Korea will be automatically registered to the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), effective from the date of their alien registration (most likely done within 10 days into the semester). All will be able to receive equal medical benefits as Korean nationals, receiving automatic discounts for doctors’ appointments and prescription drugs. Exchange students will receive monthly invoices by post, and the cost will be approx. 50,000 KRW/month.
This program are open for D4/S1 ITS Students batch 2021 2020 and also S2 batch 2022. The students must take and transfer maximum credit transfer opportunity.
