Exchange Program at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Intake Second Semester 2023-2024

Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for Second Semester 2023-2024 (9th January 2024 – mid-May 2024) is open. The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dorms and living expenses in Brunei Darussalam including Roundtrip Flight Ticket & Travel Insurance.

Registration Fees BND$200

Visa & Student Pass Procedure

1. UTB offer letter sends to the student to confirm acceptance/admission

2. UTB Registrar’s Office writes a letter to Immigration to support the application for Student Visa.

3. UTB Registrar’s Office receives Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa with listed name(s) of students.

4. UTB Registrar’s Office sends a copy of the Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa with the listed name(s) of students to respective students via email.

5. Students must show the Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa with listed name(s) of students as they reach the Brunei International Airport Immigration Officer to obtain a Single Entry Visa (BND20).

6. As student settles in UTB, the University will process for (i) Student Pass, (ii) Multiple Entry Visa, and (iii) Brunei Identity Card with the assistance of UTB Registrar’s Office and UTB Student Welfare Officer within two (2) weeks after their arrival in Brunei Darussalam.

7. Prior to further Immigration processes above, students must fill in;

  • Student Pass Form No.10,
  • Visa Form (exception Malaysian & Singapore Nationals), and
  • Brunei Identity Card Green Form

and each student will be provided with UTB official letter(s) for (i) and (ii).

8. Student needs to provide a photocopy of:

  • Passport detail page,
  • Single Entry Visa stamp in the passport,
  • UTB Offer Letter of Acceptance/Admission,
  • Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa containing the student’s name, and BND50 for Multiple Entry Visa.

Insurance

All international students are required to obtain their personal insurance for the duration of their studies and other related insurance as deemed necessary by the programme. Please ensure the insurance covers worldwide, including repatriation costs, accidents, and personal accidents while study in UTB.


Accommodation

International students who are enrolled at UTB can apply for accommodation at The Core Residential College, which is run by UBD Corporation (UBD Crop) Sdn Bhd. The walk from UTB to the Core Residential College takes about 5 minutes and the student will reside in an apartment unit that has a shared living room, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry area. Additionally, each of the five individual study bedrooms in the apartment unit is air-conditioned. Students are required to submit their applications via the online system, which can be found at www.ubdcorp.com Estimated accommodation will be round BND$250.


Estimated Living Cost

The estimated living cost of attending UTB as an Exchange Student for one month, BND$300 – BND$400 (excluding accommodation).

 

This program are eligible for ITS Students with Criteria below  :

1. An Active ITS Students from department related with criteria from below :

– D4 / S1 batch 2021 & 2020

2. GPA minimum 2.75

3. Have a valid english proficiency certificate TOEFL/EFL minimum 550

Here the documents that you need to prepare  :

1.  CV

2. Scanned Official Academic Transcript in English Version with GPA 3.00

3. Scanned TOEFL/EFL/IELTS certificate (min score 550)

4. Scanned passport information page ( valid minimum 12 months prior to the starting date)

5. Motivation Letter ( One Page A4 Arial 11, Margin 3,3,3 3)

6. One recommendation letter from Academic Advisor /Lecturers in your department

7. Statement Letter & Learning agreement ( Please download from this link http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ) Please get signed from your Head of Department at Coordinator Department section and please leave blank at Institutional Coordinator section.

8. Medical Check Up Certificate and Valid Insurance ( you can submit it later after passed ITS IO selection )

9. Certificate/ Test Result of GCW Non Degree/GCW IUP Basic/ GCW IUP Advanced or R2SEP for Master students.

10. ITS Students must consult with thier parents for the financial aspects and please kindly provide the statement letter from your parents (in Bahasa) that your parents are support you (all financial & mental) to join this program. (No format required)

11. Application Form

The incomplete application will not proceed by Mobility Team.

For ITS Students who interested to join this program please kindly submit your application through this form https://its.id/studyabroadITS . All of your documents must be in PDF and collected in 1 (one) .zip/.rar file. If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_UTB_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline is on 23 August 2023 ( 12.00 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 25 August 2023.
