International Winter University Program 2024 at Hochschule Darmstadt

Dear ITS Students,

Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (Germany) invited ITS students to join “Winter University Program 2024 at Hochschule Darmstadt”.

This program is the 7th International Winter University Program at Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. However they’ve changed the program into blended format.  The Winter University Program is now a blended program, combining online lectures and on-site lectures. Before the offline program, in December 2023 we will have four online sessions on Dec. 02, 09, 16 & 22. . It will take place in Darmstadt, Germany from Dec. 28, 2023 until Jan. 14, 2024.  On December 28, 2024, students will arrive in Darmstadt where we will celebrate the new year together. On Jan. 02, 2023, the lectures and social-cultural program will begin. 

Students can choose to attend one of the following modules:

1)     International Marketing and Sales: this module is aimed at advanced undergraduate or graduate students with a business administration, marketing, economics background.

2)     Digital Transformation: this module is rather interdisciplinary and the academic director welcomes students with different academic backgrounds. It is also aimed at advanced undergraduate or graduate students.

In addition to the academic module, students will attend a German language course. Of course we will offer a beginners course for those students who don’t know the German language at all. For the cultural program: intercultural training, ice skating, excursions to Heidelberg and Frankfurt, indoor rock climbing and a trivia night.

Program fee:
Special price for ITS students €1000 with very limited slots  – for the entire program (accommodation, all scheduled company visits, excursions and cultural activities, a ticket for the public transportation system and a health-, accident- and liability insurance). Selected participants will also have the opportunity to receive 500 Euro scholarship during their arrival.

Please kindly note the selected participants must cover another expenses including airfare ticket, visa, meals and other expenses. Students also need to pay attention regarding the regulations to enter Germany. The students must gather information by their own including the funding trip.

This program open for Diploma, Bachelor & Master students of ITS (not open for D4/S1 batch 2023)

For ITS students who are interested with this program, please prepare your documents below: 

1. CV (including the photo and please make sure you mention birth date, dept in ITS, email and phone number)

2. The Latest Official Academic Transcript in english version

3. Scanned of Valid TOEFL/TEFL/EFL (EFL is TOEFL from web UPT Bahasa) min 477 or IELTS min 6,0 (score screenshoot from web UPT Bahasa and TOEFL prediction are not acceptable) 

4. Scanned of Valid Passport (valid minimum at least one year)

5. Short Motivation Letter in English.

The motivation letter should be short but concise and you may refer to following aspects:

• Why are you interested to join the winter course at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences?
• What is your special interest in the subject?
• What added benefit do you expect to get by joining a short-term programme in Germany?
• How does the topic relate to your studies?
• What skills and knowledge do you have to successfully complete the programme?
• How do you prepare yourself for the programme?

7. Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program)

If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_HDaWUP_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline extended until 25 September 2023 ( 09.00 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 27 September 2023 (13.30).
