Tunghai University Exchange Program Spring 2024 – UMAP

Dear ITS Student,

Tunghai University, Taiwan would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for Spring semester 2024 (Feb. – Jun. 2024) is open under UMAP Consortium.  The tuition fee for this program is waived. The selected  participants also will have a chances to get stipend. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dormitory and living expenses in Taiwan including Roundtrip Flight Ticket, visa fees & Insurance

Tunghai University is the oldest private university in Taiwan, established in 1955. It was founded by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia. It is located in Xitun District, Taichung, Taiwan.

This program is open for ITS students with criteria below :

–  D4 / S1 batch 2021

–  S2/S3 who already completed minimum 1 semesters

The exchange program at Tunghai University provides international exchange students with various courses and activities, including the regular professional courses, the preliminary Chinese language training, and the cultural exchange opportunities. For the regular courses, our departments offer both Chinese-taught and English-taught professional courses, which exchange students could take according to their interests. Besides, as Tunghai University has established the first Chinese Language Center in central Taiwan as of 1970, we provide professional Chinese language training for exchange students. We offer 6-hour or 15-hour Chinese language courses per week without extra fees. The intensive courses assist the students to improve their Chinese language proficiency. In addition to the courses, there are also cultural activities provided for exchange students to know more about Taiwan and to have the opportunities to interact with students from different countries.

Here are the required documents that you need to prepare :

1. Photo : Two-inch photo with white background, between 100-500KB, in JPG format)
2. Certificate of Enrollment
3. An Official Academic Transcript in English version
4. Two recommendation letters from Department
5. Scanned of the applicant’s passport ( information page and all blank pages) (at least valid until one year)
6. Valid Certificate of English Proficiency Test Score (original). TOEFL/IELTS/IBT  (You can use EFL ITS minimum 500). TOEFL Prediction & Score EFL screenshoot from web UPT Bahasa are not eligible. IUP Students can replace it with letter from Department that you are IUP students and follow all academic process in english as the main language.
7. Learning Agreement (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ) Please only submit with your department coordinator ( Head of Dept ) signed only. You don’t need to get signed at Institutional Coordinator and please leave blank for that section.
8. Statement Letter (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange )
9. Certificate of GCW Non Degree (minimum C) or Result Test GCW Non Degree min 80 (please kindly note that this documents is required for this program, S2 applicants are not compulsory to submit those documents since the academic activities for postgraduate level is quite different)
10. Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program)

The incomplete application will not proceed by Mobility Team. ITS Students must consult with your parents for the financial aspects and please kindly provide the statement letter from your parents (in Bahasa) that your parents are support you (all financial & mental) to join this program. You need to submit it during interview process

For ITS Students who interested to join this program please kindly submit your application through this form https://its.id/studyabroadITS . All of your documents must be in PDF and collected in 1 (one) .zip/.rar file. If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_Tunghai_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline until 20 September 2023 ( 23.59 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 22 September 2023.
