Gyeongsang National University (GNU) Exchange Spring 2024

Gyeongsang National University (GNU), South Korea  would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for spring semester 2023 (March 1st ~ Mid June, 2024) . The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their dormitory, learning materials and living expenses in Korea including Roundtrip Flight Ticket & Travel Insurance

GNU is located in Jinju City, near the southern coast of the Republic of Korea. It takes about an hour and a half from Busan(Gimhae) International Airport(PUS) by bus and five hours from Incheon International Airport(ICN). Due to Covid-19, transportation to Jinju changed, GNU coordinator will guide you throughout your trip to GNU once you get the visa.

This program is open for ITS Students (D4/S1) batch 2021 from the department related. (The students to need to check the available courses first)

We advise you to apply for the same or similar major or department at GNU as with your home university. All the colleges, departments(majors), and course information can be found at https://www.gnu.ac.kr/eng/cm/cntnts/cntntsView.do?mi=8527&cntntsId=4497 After choosing a department or a major, please state the selected department(major) in the application form.

The english courses will be available soon, however you may check the previous list as your reference for Spring Semester –> Spring Course List 

However, since more than 90% of classes are conducted in Korean and about 10% of classes are conducted in English, there may be restrictions on course registration if you are not fluent in Korean.

At GNU, 1 credit consists of 50 minutes coursework per week for 15 weeks during the semester. Please kindly note that ITS Students must take and transfer  into compulsory, elective & MBKM course up to 20 SKS. However, the students can take 12 – 20 credits including Korean Languange The students are not allowed to repeat the courses (take the course that you’ve taken during your study in ITS)

Health insurance: All foreigners staying Korea must join the National Health Insurance which will cost about $40 a month.

Here are the required documents that you need to prepare :

1. Complete Application Forms(ENG) – Consist of Application Form, Dormitory Form, Medical History Form, Financial Info Form, Permission for use personal info form, study plan, self description  and Letter recommendation from your lecturer in Dept completed with the signed. Please also attach the picture in reg form (size 3.5*4.5 centimeter size,) and please bring one when you arrived in GNU
2. One original Official Academic Transcript in English version (GPA min 2.75)
3. Photocopy of the applicant’s passport information page (Valid minimum one year)
4. Certificate of Enrollment
5. The latest English Proficiency Certificate Test Score  TOEFL/EFL (min 477) or you can use IELTS/IBT. You may also submit screenshoot of your EFL score from UPT Bahasa Website or used TOEFL Prediction. (EFL Dirpendik is not acceptable)
6. Statement Letter & Learning Agreement (please download from here http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange ) Please get signature from your Head of Department at Coordinator Department section and please leave blank at Institutional Coordinator section.
7. Certificate of GCW Non Degree (minimum C) or Result Test GCW Non Degree min 80 (please kindly note that this documents is required for this program)
8. Scanned of Parents letter support (the letter must signed by your parents and the letter must mention about the awareness of your parents about this program. Please also mention that your parents support you for the financial and other things if you are accepted in this program)

The incomplete application will not be processed by Mobility Team.

All of your documents must be in PDF and collected in 1 (one) .zip/.rar file. If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_GNU_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline extended until 3 October 2023 ( 12.00 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 5 October 2023.
