Greetings from the University of Asia & the Pacific! We would like to invite you to the UA&P 2024 Urban Humanities Summer School
which will run from May 20 to June 7, 2024

This summer school immerses students in the settings, material culture, and living heritage that lend character to and enliven the UNESCO Creative City of Baguio in the northern part of Luzon, Philippines.
The investigation of the significance of these to the citizens will include a humanist understanding of the city through place-based memory archiving and sensory ethnography.
One of the study Sites Include :
Baguio City is a diverse, multi-ethnic city with a complex history, emerging from its history as a settlement of Ibaloi families, an American colonial hill station, and a settlement of Japanese and European nationalities before the Second World War. The participants will visit selected study sites within the city and interact with local residents.
The participants will earn a certificate of completion, which may be credited for a 3-unit course on Urban Humanities.
The course fee of 1,500 USD (includes administration fees and accommodation in Baguio City for 15 days).
