A Semester Exchange at Coventry University Semester 2, 2024/2025

Dear ITS Students,

Coventry University, UK would like to inform you that the registration for a semester exchange application for semester 2, 2024/2025 (20 January – 19 April 2025) is open.  The tuition fee for this program is waived. However the accepted students are responsible for their learning materials, dorms and living expenses in UK including roundtrip flight ticket, visa, quarantine and insurance. Students also need to pay attention with the entry regulations to enter UK. The students must gather information by their own including the funding trip.

This program is open for ITS Students S1 only batch 2022. This program is not open for other level due to agreement that we had with Coventry University.

ITS students are only allowed to apply for courses offered by the Faculty of Business & Law and the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Computing. Students cannot mix courses from different faculties.

Prerequisites
Some courses/modules may require prerequisites; the requirements are clearly stated on the course and module information sent to students.

ITS Students need to take min 25 ECTS and maximum 30 ECTS at Coventry Univ and must transfer maximum credit opportunity.

Grading System
– Percentage: 0-100%
– CAT Credit System: 1 ECTS = 2 CAT Credits

Attendance Monitoring
– All students’ attendance will be monitored. Students on the Student Visa route will have their attendance and engagement monitored by the International Student Compliance Team (ISC) to ensure compliance with UKVI regulations and visa conditions.
– Study Period: You cannot extend your study period from one semester to a full academic year after your application is completed.
– Right to Study Check: Incoming students must complete a ‘Right to Study’ check upon arrival in the UK before enrolling in their course. The ISC team will contact you prior to enrolment to guide you through this process.

Visa Requirements
Students must adhere to the relevant immigration requirements for a UK visa, which may differ from the university’s minimum requirements. For further guidance, please [click here].

Visa Options:
1. Standard Visitor Visa:
– Allows students to stay in the UK for up to 6 months, typically for an exchange program.
– Some nationalities must apply for this visa in advance.
– You cannot extend a Standard Visitor Visa or switch to a different visa category while in the UK.

2. Student Visa:
– For study periods longer than 6 months.

Note:
– We are currently accepting students for Semester 2 only, so stays will not exceed 6 months. Students must check the visa requirements for their nationality, as these may vary.
– Brexit Update: Visa requirements for students from the EEA and Switzerland have changed since January 2021. The required visa depends on the length of stay. Students nominated for Semester 1 only cannot extend their mobility to a full academic year. Please inform the Study Abroad team and relevant Faculty by 31st May 2023 if any Semester 1 students might want to extend their stay, as extensions will not be possible after this date.
– Students with Settled or Pre-Settled Status do not need a visa to enter the UK.

If the student has Settled/Pre Settled Status, the student is not required to have a visa to enter the UK.

Here are the required documents that you need to prepare:

1. CV
2. Motivation Letter (maximum 2 pages)
3. Learning Agreement (Download it here bit.ly/its-student-exchange). Please kindly fill department coordinator with the signature head of department/coordinator academic at your department. Please leave it blank at Institutional Coordinator
4. Official Academic Transcript in English version minimum GPA 3.00
5. A Valid English Proficiency English Test certificate. Coventry only accept IELTS min 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in every components) or TOEFL IBT min 79 (with minimum score 18 in every components), or TEFL UPT Bahasa with minimum score 500
6. One recommendation letter from an academic advisor
7. Scanned Valid Passport (validity minimum 1 year prior to the starting date of the program)

9. Certificate of GCW Non Degree (minimum C) or Result Test GCW Non Degree min 80
10. ITS Students must consult with thier parents for the financial aspects and please kindly provide the statement letter from your parents (in Bahasa) that your parents are support you (all financial & mental) to join this program. (No format required)

The incomplete application will not proceed by Mobility Team.

If you have finished and submitted your Study Abroad Application form, YOU HAVE TO SEND email to studyabroad@its.ac.id confirming that you have filled out the Study Abroad Application Form and submit it. Please use this subject: “Confirmation Study Abroad Application_Coventry_NAME_NRP”. The submission deadline is on 7 October 2024 ( 09.00 WIB). The Interview Session will be held on 8 October 2024.
