Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) is now accepting applications for the First Semester 2025-2026 exchange program (22 July – 24 November 2025). Tuition fees are waived, but students are responsible for their learning materials, accommodation, living expenses, round-trip flight tickets, and travel insurance.
Accommodation: Estimated BND$250/month at The Core Residential College (5-minute walk from UTB). Application via UBD Corp
Living Costs: Estimated BND$300 – BND$400/month (excluding accommodation)
Visa & Student Pass Procedure
UTB issues an offer letter to confirm acceptance.
UTB’s Registrar’s Office submits a support letter for the student visa application.
UTB receives and forwards the Immigration Reply Letter of Approval to students.
Students present this letter at Brunei International Airport to obtain a Single Entry Visa (BND$20).
Upon arrival, UTB assists students in obtaining their Student Pass, Multiple Entry Visa, and Brunei Identity Card within two weeks.
Students must submit required forms and documents, including a BND$50 fee for the Multiple Entry Visa.
Insurance Requirement
All international students must obtain personal insurance covering worldwide repatriation, accidents, and personal injury for the entire study period at UTB.
Eligibility for ITS Students
This program is open to ITS students who meet the following criteria:
Active students in D4/S1 (Batch 2022 & 2023) from a related department
Minimum GPA: 2.75
English Proficiency: TOEFL/EFL minimum 550
