A Semester Exchange Program at Okanagan College Canada Fall Semester 2025 with UMAP Scheme

Dear ITS Students,

Okanagan College (OC) Canada would like to inform you that the registration for semester exchange application for fall semester 2025 through UMAP Applications (Intake End of August – December 2025) is already opened. The ITS Students have a chance to get UMAP Canada Scholarships during their exchange program in this university. The selected students also need to check the entry regulations from Canada Government

The UMAP Canada scholarship will provide scholarship for students from UMAP members who had intend to study at Canada.

The successful applicants will received the scholarship with up to CAD 10.200 for the whole semester. You may use the scholarship for anything such as visa fees, flight, accommodation, etc. Please note that the tuition fee is already waived.

Based on this regulations, this program are open only for ITS Students (S1)  batch 2023  & 2022 from these departements:

• Visual Communication Design (DKV)
• Developmental Studies
• Business Management
• Interior Design
• Product Design

The ITS Students must take at least 3 courses and transfer all the credit into MBKM Courses (compulsory or elective course)

Here are the required documents that you need to prepare :

1. CV

2. An Official Academic Transcript in English version with minimum GPA 3.25

3. A  certificate of Valid English Proficiency Test. You must use TOEFL ITP minimum 550/IELTS min 6.5 with average min 6,0/TOEFL IBT min 80. (TEFL/EFL/TOEFL from UPT Bahasa ITS/TOEFL Prediction are not acceptable).  You can also use Duolingo test with minimum score is 110

4. Certificate of Enrollment

5. Scanned Passport with validity minimum one year from 1 Sept 2025

6. One recommendation letter from an academic advisor/Head of Department. The recommendation letter must explaining the nature of study or research, how the candidate and ITS will benefit from this scholarship program, and the institution’s assessment of the candidate’s commitment and capacity to use the program of study or research in Canada to help combat poverty and narrow the development gap in the ASEAN region (maximum one page). Please kindly note that the recommendation letter must use official letterhead of ITS which means that the students need to ask recommendation from Lecturer who have position in ITS such as Head /Secretary of Dept etc

7. Letter of intent from the candidate: a letter in English or French explaining how undertaking the study/research in Canada will empower the student to apply the learning to address the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and how they intend to use this learning to help combat poverty and narrow the development gap in the ASEAN region in their future career. In the letter of intent, candidates must identify the Sustainable Development Goal that their proposed study or research in Canada would contribute to (maximum one page). The Letter of intent must include the following:

1. A brief description of the chosen field of study or research;
2. A brief explanation of how the chosen field of study or research is aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development;
3. An identification of which Sustainable Development Goal(s) the chosen field of study or research is aligned with;
4. For candidates from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam: please provide a brief explanation of how you plan to use the learning in Canada to help combat poverty in your home country;

8. Statement Letter & Learning agreement ( Please download from this link http://bit.ly/its-student-exchange) Please get signed from your Head of Department at Coordinator Department section and please leave blank at Institutional Coordinator section.

9.Certificate of GCW Non Degree/GCA/GCW IUP Basic or Advanced minimum C
