Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is pleased to announce that applications for the Fall Semester Exchange Program (October 2025 – February 2026) are now open.
This program offers a tuition fee waiver. However, selected students are responsible for covering the following expenses:
Round-trip flight ticket
Visa and insurance fees
Learning materials
Facility fee
Dormitory and living costs in Malaysia
Students must also check and comply with the latest Malaysian Government entry regulations.

All international students must apply for a Mobility Pass if studying in Malaysia for 3–12 months. This includes:
Applying for a Visa Approval Letter (VAL) through the EMGS STAR System: https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my/
Once approved, students must apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) at the Malaysian Embassy.
UTM International will assist students in applying for the Mobility Pass upon arrival in Malaysia.
Important notes:
Do not enter Malaysia using a tourist or entry visa.
Purchase flight tickets only after receiving the VAL.
For study duration under 3 months, ensure the visit pass covers the full study period.

For study duration under 3 months: students must purchase a valid medical/travel insurance from their home country that covers medical and hospitalization costs in Malaysia.
For study duration of 3–12 months: students must purchase an insurance policy in Malaysia through EMGS during Mobility Pass application.
Insurance must cover: personal accident, inpatient treatment, repatriation, and death.
On-campus accommodation is guaranteed, subject to availability and room selection.
Students may also rent off-campus housing at their own arrangement and cost.
