(Urgent) Online Short Course: The Sustainable of Development Goals (SDGs): An Introduction with Action

The Department of Soft Skills Competency (DSSC) and Division of Community and International Networking (DCInterNet) of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Malaysia will be working together with ENGAGE, Nepal in organizing a virtual programme on “’The SDGs: An Introduction with Action” for capacity building on SDGs and international networking among students from UTAR and partner universities. This program will be held on 26 October to 20 Nov 2020 (4 Weeks every Monday, Wednesday & Friday) 

Course content
DSSC-SL, DCInterNet and ENGAGE would like to collaborate in organizing a virtual student mobility programme on “SDGs: An Introduction with Action”. This virtual session will be promoting not only to UTAR students but also to students from entire Asia Pacific Region.
The programme offers an introduction to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through which the participants will gain both fundamental and practical insights on the goals, with a focus on the international and regional “system” supporting and promoting them. Very importantly, they will forge practical skills on actions they will take to promote and implement the goals.

In a snapshot, participants will:

  • Understand the AGENDA 2030 and its links with ASEAN 2030 Vision
  • Explore best practices on SDGs from the South East Asia (SEA) region
  • Understand the role of Education for Sustainable Development
  • Become cognizant of climate change
  • Learn project management & planning skills
    By the end of the course, each participant will have identified at least one action either to promote or deliver one of the SDGs

This program is open for ITS Students D3/D4/S1 batch2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 and S2 all batch. There are 5 slots for ITS Students in this program. This program is free of cost

The interview will be held online with zoom app on 24 Oct 2020 around 13.00 – 15.00 WIB

The successfull participants will be annonced on 24 Oct 2020 17.00 WIB
