International Staff Mobility (ISM)

Continuing its success from 2017, ITS is organizing International Staff Mobility (ISM) for non-academic staff from ITS’ partner universities and ITS’ prospective partner universities. This program aims to provide platform for non-academic staff to build networking and enhance their skills in pursuing internationalization. This program provides knowledges about human resources, student affairs, documents and archives management, and many more, as well as Indonesian cultural activities.

ITS has held ISM program since 2017 and the upcoming program will be held in the following dates:

2024:

Session 1: 5 – 9 May 2025
Session 2: 29 Sept – 3 Oct 2025

Timeline

  • Deadline of application –> 17  March 2025 (Session 1 – 2025) &  30 August 2025 (Session 2-2025)
  • Release of Letter of Acceptance (LoA) & arrival guidelines –> two weeks after you send your application to ITS
  • Pre-arrival meeting –> 2 weeks after application deadline
  • Visa Application (only for selected countries) –> 1 month before your arrival
  • Submission of flight ticket –> 1 week before your arrival
  • Arrival in Surabaya –> 4 May 2025 (Session 1-2025) & 28 Sept 2025 (Session 2-2025)
  • Departure from Surabaya –> 10 May 2024 (Session 1-2025) & 4 Oct 2025 (Session 2-2025)

Eligibility & Benefit

This program are open for any non-academic staff or Faculty Staff/Lecturer at ITS partners/prospective partners. Staffs and lecturers will have a chance to do observation, meeting, collaboration, and teaching activities at ITS during the program.

ITS will provide benefits including:

  • Certificate
  • International experience & networking
  • Twin share room at ITS Guest House during the program
    • ITS will cover only for maximum 2 staffs per university
    • If there are more than 2 staffs from the same university joining the program, the third, fourth, or additional participants need to cover the accommodation cost by themselves
    • If you come with Erasmus+ funding, you need to pay your accommodation.
  • Scheduled breakfast and lunch
  • Local transportation (city tour and site visit)
  • Trip to tourist destination

Visa Information:

The visa regulation to enter Indonesia has been changed per April 2023 with detail below:

  • People from ASEAN countries can enter Indonesia with free visa. They can get it once they arrive in any Indonesian international airport
  • People from 88 countries listed here can enter Indonesia with Visa on Arrival (VoA):  https://www.imigrasi.go.id/en/visa-kunjungan-saat-kedatangan/   The fees of VoA is IDR 500.000,- and you must pay in IDR currency.
  • People from countries that are not listed above, must apply online visa at  https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/  at least 1 month before the arrival date. The fees for this  program around IDR 1.500.000 – 2.000.0000,-
